To what extend a son would go to full-fill his father’s dream? A touching story on a father-son relation and how the son makes a course change in his lucrative career for his father. Inspiration is one thing, getting inspired by love is completely another. Dedicated to all the children who love their father.

Read his story:

My graduation was from Bombay University in 2000 Then I joined immediately to the multi-national company where I worked for two years. Then I moved to another company there I worked for one year. and after then, Something happened with my father, he had a kidney failure and in those days he asked me, whether I could, I will be able to join the Police force.

My Name is Rupesh Krishna Rao Pawar, Police Constable.

I have friends who said no because Police constable is the lowest part of this hierarchy. From my father’s side, from my mother’s side they were there in the Police force. My brother is there with me.My sister is also a Police constable. So we are like a Police Family. For upto three days I didn’t see my father,, only sometimes would he come and we would be asleep. When I first met my wife that time I made her realise that I’m a Police constable but she got surprised ” If you are a Police constable, how come you speak such fluent English and all of those things.

His wife said “There was opposition to marrying into the family of a Police because, they don’t have time, they cannot provide time for their family and they cannot be a part of the festivities at home. They are on duty for 24 hours and all responsibilities thus fall on the housewife. Also, the pressure at their workplace finds its way into our life at home. The children receive less affection from their father. If problems at home are told, there is some contribution because os which problems arise later. But, my husband gives us time, he completes his duty and also takes me and the children out.”

We are having leakages at our home so every rainy season, We are supposed to shift our kitchen in our living room. We have to sleep there and cook there too. Salaries are already very little. We are not getting loans from our banks, where we are getting paid from.Sometimes we have to go such places where We don’t get food or water. Recently, one of our party visited one place, they couldn’t find food there. So I heard they were starved for two days, three days or something. They got some bananas and fruits that were available locally ate that, and they followed that procedure of investigation. One day what happened traffic jam was there, and I was standing. I couldn’t have even done anything because, the traffic line was really long Then this guy from a vert imported car, he just lowered down his window and said “Arre why don’t you do something? It’s wrong to even expect something from you guys.”

So he started saying that. And I said ” I’m really sorry Sir, but ahead there’s.”

Those were I think rainy days were there. And I said because of the water traffic was moving slow and the jam is heavy, a bottleneck has been created, so what’s why.”

That person didn’t give any attention to me. He vented his frustration and that was it.

If he’s owning that car, he must be knowing this thing that once you ask question you should here the answer also.I know that, why doesn’t he know it? The most concerned thing, about my family, forme and my wife is our children’s education. My children, they are appreciating that my father is a Police and he catches thieves. I do remember every day this thing, that yeah someone is there feeling proud. At the end of the day, I’m going to make them proud.

Police force is a very important thing in a society. Plays a very vital role. And I’m so proud that I’m a part of that group. I’m a part of this force. In Marathi they say ” Yeh waghacha kathad hai,” it means you have that “heart of a lion” when you’are in this uniform.
